The 2019-2020 school year will be my 18th year in education. My teaching career began with 2nd grade at Castleberry Elementary as a long term substitute. The next four years were spent teaching 3rd grade, one in public school and three in the private sector. After taking almost three years off with the birth of my first child, I returned to Castleberry ISD as a 3rd grade teacher in 2006. I have been with CISD ever since. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades and for the past three years I have served as the Elementary Math Coordinator. I am a 1996 graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration focusing on Finance and Real Estate, and I earned my Master's in Education Administration from Lamar University in 2011. This year my district is focusing on #only1U and I could not be more excited about the innovative things happening in Castleberry ISD. My professional goals for the year will focus on Kinder through Second fluency data, developing a curriculum for Second grade, and fostering deep alignment for the Kinder, First, and Third through Fifth curriculum documents.
